Nitric acid
Nitric acid
Nitric acid is a strong mineral acid and powerful oxidizing agent, typically a colorless to yellow liquid with a sharp, choking odour. It is widely used in the manufacture of fertilizers and explosives, in metal finishing and passivation, and in aggressive cleaning/descaling blends where strong oxidation is required.
